An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of Senior Advisor (Technical Officer Lead). The purpose of the Senior Advisor is to lead the Road Safety Technical Officers team and will also be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, calibration and strategic management of road safety cameras. This will ensure optimal functionality of E&T assets and field devices (road safety cameras, WiM and ANPR) to reduce road crashes.
Some Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research, analyse data and make sound recommendations consistent with government and departmental priorities and strategic directions.
• Be able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour and manage projects to meet organisational objectives for successful delivery of the Camera Detected Offence Program (CDOP).
• Dispense expert advice, support and training to internal and external stakeholders, particularly in Road Safety Technologies.
• Monitor, maintain, and calibrate road safety cameras to ensure operational capability.
• Lead and manage a team of Senior Technical Officers, nurturing professional development for team members and establishing business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
