Due to demand in our the Youth space and our dedication to delivering and improving services in our community, we are now hiring for multiple new roles within our Youth Program.

We have the following positions available;

1 Full time role (36 hours per week)

1 Part-time role (20 hours per week)

About the Position

The Youth Worker – Casework Support provides support for young people at risk of ongoing involvement with the criminal justice system by supporting them to achieve positive change in their lives.

Casework Support is targeting Aboriginal and non Aboriginal young between 12 and 18 years of age that are either; being supervised by Youth Justice, transitioning from custody into the community, have a referral for Youth Justice Conference or receiving Bail Support.

The Youth Worker – Casework Support provides practical support to young people in contact with Youth Justice to overcome offending behaviour and positively integrate into the community.

The Youth Worker – Casework Support will collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including Youth Justice to ensure positive outcome for young people.

The Youth Worker position aims to:

Positively change the behaviour, attitude, and emotional and social capabilities of the young people this program serves

Build the social capacity of young people by developing trusting and positive relationships with the community and its members.

Provide opportunities for group programs to the young people this program works with.

Support young people to develop social and emotional capabilities in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Build young people’s cultural identity and explore opportunities to connect them with the Aboriginal community in which they live.

Working with Children Check Clearance

National Police Check

NSW Driver's License

COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (Minimum 2 doses)

Remuneration

A remuneration package will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, plus superannuation, leave loading, and full salary sacrifice is offered.

Salary range commencing 80k - 85K on commencement.

Wages can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
