The Firm & The Role

Our client has a reputation that is outstanding in the commercial and commercial disputes space.

With an enviable client base, the firm Acts for ASX-listed companies, local and international companies, government agencies, high net worth individuals. Our client has a reputation for responsiveness, commercial awareness, and providing superior legal services.

As a result of growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is looking for a lawyer with at least 3 years plus admission experience in the area of commercial disputes. Advantageous would be experience in consumer law and competition law disputes, but it is not essential.

This role will see you working closely with the partner and other senior members of the team on complex and challenging disputes as well as providing advice to the team's clients.

A flavour of the work will include:

• Misleading & deceptive conduct litigation
• Unconscionable conduct litigation
• Consumer law litigation
• Litigation brought by regulators
• Investigations
• Providing advice in relation to advertising, branding and marketing
• General commercial disputes including IT and Telco disputes
• Class actions

This is the perfect role for the ambitious litigator who is looking to work on major topical disputes. The experience gained in this team will be second to none.

About You

• You will have at least 3 years pae in the area of commercial disputes or competition law/consumer law, candidates who have gained experience from a regulator (ACCC) will be looked upon favourably
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly-developed organisational skills
• Ability to work independently, but within a team-focused environment
• Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to develop your skills and experience
