As one of Australia's largest construction materials testing providers, Coffey Testing are involved in the construction and ongoing upgrades of mining, oil and gas developments and supported infrastructure, public utility and transport infrastructure (highways, bridges, tunnels, rail, ports and airports) all throughout Australia.
Working as part of the People and Performance Team, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Officer to provide high level administrative support and services across a range of HR areas including recruitment, on-boarding & off-boarding and HR systems and processes.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process including position descriptions, advertising, phone screening, scheduling interviews and liaising with hiring managers and applicants.
- Prepare interview guides and support hiring managers in conducting interviews as required.
- Coordinate and manage on-boarding and off-boarding administration processes including preparation of employment contracts, letters, new employee packs, induction packs, induction training (Training Academy) exit surveys and interviews, termination checklists, and other HR documents and correspondence.
- Administer HR processes, documents and records for employee movements and changes including producing and updating organisational charts.
- Monitor completion of HR activities i.e. induction programs/probation reviews, and undertake administration related to annual activities such as performance reviews and salary reviews.
- Maintain records on the HR system in line with changes to contracts, salary reviews, pay rates, market information, and any other information that is relevant to this system, whilst ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
- Generate HR reports and collate data to produce regular and ad-hoc HR metrics reporting, and complete compliance and Government-related reporting.
- Advise and support leaders in managing the performance and development of their employees (i.e. development and implementation of performance improvement plans etc.).
- Monitor and respond to telephone and HR/Recruitment mailbox queries and provide general guidance and support to managers and employees, delegating/escalating where appropriate.
- Provide HR administrative support for HR projects/initiatives (i.e. Enterprise Agreement negotiations; performance reviews, engagement survey, remuneration reviews etc.).
About you
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following criteria:
- Experience in a HR/recruitment administration role.
- Ability to manage a high volume of recruitment processes.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of HRIS systems.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong communication and well-developed personal skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise and multi-task.
- Well-developed computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, including the capacity to learn new systems.
