Thrifty Plumbing Supplies / wc bath+shower is Sydney's longest established independent plumbing & bathroom retailer, with 3 stores, based in Campsie, Chatswood & Seven Hills.

We have a small team who work closely together, and who are expertly skilled in their areas of responsibility.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced & professional Retail Sales Consultant to join our Bathroom Sales team at our Campsie showroom in a permanent full-time position working 5 days per week (including alternating Saturdays, with a corresponding mid-week RDO).

We retail the world’s leading bathroom brands - we are looking for someone who is customer focused, passionate about sales, high end / design products, and helping customers achieve their ideal bathroom design.

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting customers with product selections & options for their project during in-store consultations

Preparing quotations & sales proposals / specifications, and following these through to order

Building customer relationships & maintaining excellent customer service

Liaising with project managers / designers / architects / builders & plumbers at quotation / order / after sales stage

Administration tasks, including finalising customer invoices / orders

Assisting with day-to-day store operations

Visual merchandising and maintenance of our showrooms appearance includes cleaning.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

Excellent organisational skills with basic computer systems knowledge

A solid understanding of the flow of information within a business

The ability to work within a team and busy environment, whilst managing multiple tasks on the go

Effective communication skills and a willingness to assist in all areas of business operations, as well as the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Exceptional customer service

Strong attention to detail

Role requirements:

Prior experience in a Sales / Customer Service role is essential; previous experience in a high end retail / interior design environment will be well regarded. We provide comprehensive on the job training.

You will be a self motivated, energetic, and friendly team member who has a strong ability to problem solve, multi-task, and work efficiently in order to meet critical deadlines. You also need to possess the skill of taking absolute ownership on all things which affect the results of your works. You will also be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, and previous experience processing orders and invoicing using any system would be valuable. Basic knowledge of sales would be ideal.
