The Club is seeking someone to assist the Maintenance Manager with day to day repairs, painting and maintenance of this incredible venue.

What is on offer:

We are looking for someone who is available to work two days per week, Monday - Friday, as the Club is closed on the weekends. The role would suit someone who has a professional handyperson background and is looking to reduce their hours to just two days per week, OR, the role would suit someone with their own business who is also happy to be employed by the Club to work two guaranteed days per week. Flexibility in the days worked can be negotiated.

What you will do:

Respond and undertake to a variety of minor repair requests throughout the Club

Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky taps.

Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls, hanging pictures, moving furniture and furniture repair.

Painting and touch up repair work

Assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment such as TVs and air conditioners

Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities.

Undertake regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, plant, and equipment

Maintenance and cleanliness of all operating equipment, tools and workshop

Assist the Maintenance Manager with project work including carpentry work, accommodation room refurbishment, painting

Support the Maintenance Manager with preventative maintenance and the completion of items listed in the Maintenance Log System

What experience you need:

General maintenance knowledge with relevant experience in handyman work

Strong eye for detail, someone who takes pride in your workmanship

Ability to problem solve and rectify issues using relevant tools

Excellent communication skills both oral and written

An appreciation of cultural safety in the workplace and demonstrating this in everything you do

An understanding of statutory and legal requirements including fire, health and safety, hygiene, electricity at work, and all local by-laws

White Card, Test and Tag, and EWP license advantageous but not essential

No need to drive into the city or cart your tools around - ALL the tools for the role will be provided to you on site.
