The company

A well regarded business in the finance sector. They have grown rapidly over the last 5 years, and continue to grow.

They are based in the heart of Macquarie Park and are close to the metro station. Great offices, but they also offer plenty of scope to WFH (the role would start out a 3:2 hybrid, but over time would become more a 2:3).

The role & what we are looking for

The business is the initial phases of hardening their security stance. This though is a comprehensive program of work, that will encompass a network rebuild, network segmentation, migration to a new instance of Azure, refactoring many of their applications, implementation of Defender, and the adoption of the Essential 8 standards and NIST CSF.

This is a high profile program of work within the organisation. Funding is solid as it the backing at exec level.

And we're looking for a Program Manager to drive the program. That will involve managing intertwined streams of project work, managing internal resources and the relationship with the vendor partner, interfacing with the business stakeholders and ensuring projects are being delivered on time and on budget.

Given the nature of the program, it's highly likely that the successful candidate with have strong & broad knowledge of cybersecurity and Cloud (almost certainly Azure). Equally it would be strongly beneficial to know networking & DC builds/migrations.

It's equally important though that you're a strong Program or Snr Project Manager with great stakeholder engagement & mgmt skills, strong project governance, and the ability to hold people to account and occasionally stamp your foot when it's needed.
