At TRUCK TECH, we don’t just service trucks — we keep critical industries running. From food and freight to waste and logistics, our teams work behind the scenes (and under the bonnet) to keep fleets safe, compliant, and moving.
We’ve built a name for doing things right, backing our people, and saying what we mean. We’re not into red tape or corporate fluff — just solid teamwork, clear systems, and a focus on quality. If that’s your kind of workplace, keep reading.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Fleet Maintenance Planner to join our Central Fleet Team in Chipping Norton. You’ll own the planning process — keeping schedules sharp, teams aligned, and customers informed. From rebooking missed jobs to forecasting workload and ensuring compliance, you’ll be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This role suits a qualified mechanic (light or heavy vehicle) who’s moved off the tools but still wants to be close to the action. If you know how a fleet runs, and you thrive on keeping things organised and moving, this is the job for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build and manage service calendars for high-volume fleet accounts
Rebook missed work and action driver-reported issues
Coordinate daily/weekly work with internal crews and external contractors
Communicate clearly with fleet managers, branch teams, parts coordinators, and leading hands
Track workload projections and flag blockers early
Keep all documentation and planning systems accurate and audit-ready
Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
Qualified mechanic (light or heavy vehicle) – trade cert required
A planner’s mindset – organised, accurate, and always two steps ahead
Great communication skills and confidence working with ops teams
Ability to handle shifting priorities without losing focus
Experience in fleet planning, service scheduling, or workshop coordination
Solid computer skills – MS Office, CRM, and fleet systems (we’ll train you on ours)
A no-BS, team-first approach and alignment with our values
What You’ll Get
Competitive base salary $80k-$100k (negotiable based on experience)
A role that makes a real impact – not just pushing paper
National growth opportunities – we promote from within
Work with a high-performing, down-to-earth team
Access to employee perks & retailer discounts
Be part of a 2025-certified Great Place to Work – 91% of our team says so
Our Values – Lived, Not Laminated
Don’t F#$% the Customer
Safe Work, Safe Mind, Safe Community
Say it, Do it, No Bull$hit
Blameless Problem-solving
Embrace the Adventure
