About the role

This is a full-time Fleet Allocator role based in Banksmeadow, NSW with Best Freight Services Pty Ltd. As a Fleet Allocator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective allocation and utilisation of the company's vehicle fleet to support the delivery of freight services across New South Wales.

What you'll be doing

Scheduling and allocating vehicles from the company's fleet to meet customer delivery requirements

Monitoring and adjusting vehicle allocations in response to changes in delivery schedules, traffic conditions, or other operational needs

Liaising with drivers and operations staff to coordinate fleet movements and ensure timely deliveries

Maintaining detailed records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and other key performance data

Identifying opportunities to optimise fleet utilisation and recommend process improvements

Assisting with the maintenance and management of the company's vehicle fleet

Ensure compliance with NHVR

Provide accurate and timely updates to customers, aligning with effective resource management

Make rapid decisions and reallocate resources dynamically to maintain operational continuity

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a fleet management or logistics coordination role

Knowledge of 1-Stop and Container Chain operating systems

Knowledge of Import and Export requirements at the port

Knowledge of Port Botany Port Precinct and Sydney Suburbs

Good understanding of the Ports and Empty parks within Port Botany

Previous data-entry and administration experience with EXCEL

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make quick decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with drivers, operations staff, and customers

Understanding of transport regulations and safety requirements

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
