Job Summary:
Cavan Agricultural Agencies is seeking a talented Sales and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team in Pooraka, South Australia. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for driving the company’s sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring we maintain a strong market presence and continue to grow our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, organise and coordinate the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to grow the company’s customer base, improve retention, and increase overall sales revenue.
· Set and monitor sales targets across both retail and institutional channels, and adjust strategy based on performance, feedback, and market demand.
· Direct marketing initiatives designed to promote the organisation’s products and services, including advertising, event participation, and customer engagement campaigns.
· Oversee the development of consistent brand messaging and ensure all promotional activities reflect the business’s image and positioning in the market.
· Implement strategies to strengthen the company’s brand identity and build customer loyalty, using a combination of targeted content, service excellence, and post-sale support.
· Develop and manage strategies that enhance the organisation’s public profile and reputation with customers, stakeholders and the broader community.
· Monitor market activity and analyse consumer behaviour, competitor strategies, and emerging trends to inform decision-making and marketing direction.
· Lead and support internal sales staff, providing performance guidance, product training and team development as needed.
· Liaise with cross-functional teams, including service, retail, and purchasing departments, to ensure coordinated service delivery and customer satisfaction.
· Maintain professional relationships with existing suppliers and identify new opportunities to support business growth and marketing initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
· Relevant qualifications at a bachelor’s degree level.
· Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of sales representatives.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
· An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
· Experience in negotiating & handling imports from China/Korea/India will be looked at favourably.
