Program Assistant - (for JD Hardie Youth and Children Services)

Level 1 - $29.94 per hour to $39.91 per hour incl. casual loading

The Role

The Town of Port Hedland is looking for Casual Program Assistants to support the team with events and programming at JD Hardie Youth and Community Huib, public spaces and other Town facilities.

With a strong focus on both youth and children's programs, this role will see you assist with the day to day running of the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub as well as collaborating and supporting stakeholder initiatives.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • National Police Clearance
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Working with Children Card (or willing to obtain)

Essential Experience
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young people
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work in a team
