The Care In The Right Setting at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

The CaRS Clinical Nurse provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Care in the Right Setting (CaRS) Unit. The clinical Nurse has the opportunity to work in GEDI (Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention) as a specialist nurse exclusively. If applicant is interested in training across the remainder of CARS team- HiTH (Hospital in the Home) and GEMR-HITH (Geriatric Emergency Management Rehab-Hospital in the Home), this can be facilitated . The applicant will have demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills that support employment within GEDI.

About the Team

Care in the Right Setting is an Integrated Model consisting of Hospital in the Home (HiTH), Geriatric Emergency Management Rehab-Hospital in the Home (GEMR-HiTH), Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention (GEDI), Residential Aged Care Support Service (RaSS), Interim care, and other Hospital Optimisation / Substitution services, with the expressed aim to provide medical, nursing, and allied health care to patients in an appropriate setting. Patients receive quality care that is tailored to their individual needs.
