About the Role
We are seeking applications for the full-time role of Senior Project Coordinator. This is an exciting role working as QPAC's project representative for multiple building owner infrastructure projects, coordinating the design and delivery requirements for multiple venue operational teams. You will provide support to the Senior Facilities Coordinator with various day to day unplanned and planned maintenance activties as well as providing leadership to the wider facilities team.
You’ll have the rare opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and high-profile cultural infrastructure projects in the country. This role will be hands-on with major projects like the $175 million New Performing Arts Venue, the current Lyric Theatre seat replacement refurbishment, the recent upgrade of the Storytellers Café, backstage dressing room transformations, and many more future place shaping initiatives as Brisbane grows towards 2032.
In this role you will:
Coordinate all aspects of QPAC (client side) infrastructure project delivery, from initial planning, procurement and delivery.
Provide project support to the Facilities Operations Manager on multiple major infrastructure projects across the organisation, including Arts Queensland (Building Owner) capital works infrastructure projects.
Provide support to the Facilities Operations Manager on all aspects of facilities management across the organisation.
Serve as the primary QPAC (client/operator) point of contact for selected Arts Queensland (building owner) led projects, managing competing priorities and ensuring the needs and expectations of all QPAC venue operational teams’ expectations are met and delivered.
Facilitate clear and timely communication between QPAC internal venue stakeholders (the client) including Senior and Executive Managers, Arts Queensland (building owner), project team, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and organised project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and project plans.
Prepare and provide project status reports for the Facilities Operations Manager.
Provide leadership and support to the Senior Facilities Coordinator in the coordination of facilities unplanned and planned maintenance requests, including updating QPAC asset and equipment register.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet business needs and participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
Other day to day Facilities management operational tasks as required by the Facilities Operations Manager.
It is a mandatory requirement for applicants recommended for appointment to this position to present a national police certificate (name check only), which is clear of dishonesty type offences and criminal misconduct against persons.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks for multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
An understanding of venue operations and/or events/venue experience is desirable.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Facilities Management and/or Project experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer-based software for inventory control or similar type applications.
A customer service and team orientated attitude towards roles and responsibilities.
