Due to business growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant (Assistant Manager) to join our team full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lodge income tax returns, business activity statements (BAS), and financial statements for individuals, businesses, and SMSFs.

• Provide accurate taxation advice, including guidance on GST, capital gains tax, and superannuation.

•Examine and analyse financial statements and accounting systems to ensure compliance with ATO regulations and Australian accounting standards.

• Perform account reconciliations and prepare detailed workpapers to support financial and tax reporting.

• Maintain and manage accounting systems and ensure internal controls are effectively implemented.

• Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, Nowinfinity, and Class to process transactions and manage client portfolios.

• Analyse financial data to prepare management reports and provide insights into business performance.

• Support ASIC compliance tasks and other corporate secretarial duties for clients.

• Supervise and review work completed by junior staff, provide guidance, and allocate tasks as required.

• Participate in internal and external training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting and tax developments.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

· Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role

· Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and accounting principles.

· Proficiency in accounting software Xero, MYOB, Class, and Nowinfinity.

· High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
