Our client, a leading government agency in Queensland, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in delivering high-quality construction projects across SEQ. If you have a strong background in client-side project management, or contract administration within building construction/upgrades, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for project planning, procurement, construction management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project management plans, assessing procurement and delivery methodologies, risk, and value management.
• Procurement management and engagement of relevant contracts by developing tender packages, facilitating site inspections, addenda's, queries and clarification management through the procurement team.
• Prepare project reports, monitor progress against time, cost, and quality targets, and ensure alignment with government policies and WHS standards.
• Oversee the procurement and management of consultants, ensuring project briefs and tender documents are well-prepared and aligned with project goals.
• Manage the procurement and supervision of contractors, with expertise in both traditional and Design & Construct contracts.
• Provide leadership to project teams, mentoring and advising junior project managers.

About You:

Are you seeking to elevate your career? To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in client-side/construction project management OR contractor contract administration roles.
• A tertiary qualification in construction, project management, or a related field is highly regarded.
• Experience in cost reporting, procurement, programming and client management.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standard contracts, procurement processes, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and guide project teams.
• Ability to prepare tender documents, consultancy briefs, and project reports.
