About the role:
The primary focus of this role is ensuring the best possible guest and staff experience, it is a hands-on role where you will be in key services leading and developing your team.
Our guest services team will look after the majority of reservations, our marketing team take care of marketing and socials, our sales team sell and organise events and our operations management team are there to help you grow.
There is some reporting and admin in the role, so you will need good literacy and numeracy.

Overseeing the FOH team in our Melbourne CBD Latin American cantina - Barra, your key responsibility will be leading from the front and managing the day-to-day operations of the business, with a focus on building the best possible team to deliver the best possible guest experience.
As a leader within our hospitality group, your role will be pivotal in the continued development of the Morena story.
Working alongside the Group FOH manager, you will be responsible for :
oversight of FOH staff recruitment, training and development
oversight of rostering and shift management
ensuring compliance with health, hygiene and safety legislation
driving sales and adhering to budgets
daily and weekly reporting
managing customer feedback
oversight of stock control
This is a hands-on role – it is not a role for someone who wants to escape the floor or spend their days in the office.

You will have demonstrated experience in fast paced, casual but professional restaurants, exemplary people management skills and a focus on nurturing a respectful work environment.
You are a clear and concise communicator and have a sound understanding of OHS and WHS regulations. You will offer quality and consistency throughout every service with a strong customer focus and sales orientation.

Barra is the fun and energetic little sibling to our Hatted Latin American restaurants Morena Melbourne and Sydney, all three venues showcase the diverse range of cuisines from across Latin American cultures.
