Open since 2018, Future Future is located in the heart of Richmond, Melbourne’s inner-city hub for design, dining and culture. Inspired by Tokyo’s lively izakayas and the quiet elegance of contemporary Japanese cuisine, Future Future is a two-storey dining experience, offering private dining, outdoor spaces and a seasonal menu led by Executive Chef Atsushi Kawakami.

Just down the road in Cremorne, Suupaa is our newest venue—a fast-paced, konbini-inspired eatery that blends Japanese convenience culture with Melbourne sensibilities and a passion for every day luxuries. Opened in early 2025, Suupaa delivers high-quality fast-casual dining and retail in a neighbourly corner of Cremorne, right next door to friends Baker Bleu.

We’re currently expanding our front-of-house leadership across both venues and are looking for passionate and thoughtful hospitality professionals to join us in the following roles:

Assistant Restaurant Manager – Future Future

Front of House Supervisor – Suupaa

These are dynamic roles with room for growth and potential cross-over between the two venues. Whether you’re leading a refined dinner service at Future Future or moving in step with Suupaa’s lively daytime rhythm, you’ll be closely connected to the food, the team and the guest experience. You’ll work alongside chefs, bartenders and fellow front-of-house leads to deliver considered, high-energy service with warmth and precision. No two weeks are quite the same, so we value adaptability, clear communication and a calm, team-focused approach.

Employment is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility for the right candidate.

Management Training and WSET offered to the successful candidates.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the floor with confidence and care

Training, supporting, and developing a high-performing team

Managing service operations and ensuring smooth daily flow

Driving culture, standards, and team energy

Handling bookings, guest feedback and in-service problem solving

Working closely with senior management to evolve systems and service

What You Bring

At least 1-2 years experience in a senior FOH or leadership role

Clear communication and calm under pressure

A love of Japanese food and hospitality culture

Understanding of liquor licensing, food safety, and compliance

A genuine desire to be part of something growing and exciting
