The Opportunity
Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club Inc. is seeking an experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team at Lakeside Café, Bar & Bistro. We offer a friendly club environment enjoyed by both members and the public seven days a week.
In this full-time role, reporting directly to the DLGC General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day to day front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily operations of the front-of-house team, including baristas, servers, and bartenders.
Maintain a high standard of customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Event scheduling and planning, offering weekly, monthly, and annual events and activities, liaising closely with the Head Chef and Golf Operations Manager.
Advertising and marketing, including social media.
Stock control, including ordering, stocktakes and seasonal rotation.
Rostering, training and performance management for front-of-house employees.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and timely food delivery.
Ensure efficient and timely table seating, order taking and food/drink service.
Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Foster a positive, customer-focused culture amongst the front-of-house team.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and licensing requirements
What We're Looking For
Applicants will ideally have solid, relevant experience in the hospitality industry. We are looking for a mature, personable, customer focused and enthusiastic professional who can contribute meaningfully to growing and developing our people and our business. A current RSA certificate is essential.
2-3+ years of experience in a front-of-house supervisor or management role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with members, customers, staff and management.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software, i.e. Swiftpos.
A passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience and a commitment to continuous improvement.
