About the role

Prakash Automotive Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Milperra, NSW. As a full-time Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a range of heavy vehicles, ensuring they are in safe and reliable working condition.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain detailed records of all work carried out
• Liaise with clients to provide updates on the status of vehicles and any recommended repairs
• Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy, and compliant with all safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or a related automotive trade
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current driver's licence and own transportation
