This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Troy Heavy Haulage as a full time Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. Based in Central Mangrove, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles, plant and light vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and operating at peak performance. This role is crucial to the success of our company, which specialises in heavy haulage services across the region.

Our fleet is predominantly new Kenworth prime movers and tipper trucks, and your responsibilities will include carrying out emergency breakdowns and diagnostics. Completing necessary documentation to maintain NHVR accreditation in a timely and accurate manner will also be an important part of this role.

We would like you to:

Possess a strong work ethic, be reliable and keen to have a go

Be thorough in your work and ensure it is completed to a high standard

Have attention to detail and show initiative

Have the ability to work on your own, without supervision, make decisions and prioritise workload

Have a HC or HR truck licence

You must:

Hold the relevant trade certificate in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanical Repairs

Possess a current car drivers’ licence

Attend to breakdowns and be able to diagnose and carry out repairs

Be physically capable of carrying out duties when working with heavy vehicles and plant
