The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity within the New Vehicle Sales Department at Mike Carney Toyota. We are seeking a highly motivated Product Specialist (Sales) to join our team. Immediate start is available.
Mike Carney Toyota is one of the largest automotive dealerships in regional Australia, employing over 200 local staff and delivering over 2500 New & Used Vehicles to our customers each year. Mike Carney Toyota is a key contributor to the North Queensland economy, whilst providing sponsorship and support to many local sporting & community organisations. Our Dealership is experiencing exceptional growth, due to our strong market leadership and fantastic model line up, that is recognised globally for its Quality, Reliability & Durability.
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in providing ‘Unbelievable’ customer experiences. In this crucial frontline role, you will be responsible for assisting our customers with their vehicle purchasing decisions, upholding our customer centric culture and creating, maintaining and nurturing long-term relationships with our dealership customers, creating Toyota customers for Life.
This is an exciting opportunity offering a competitive salary, a 5.5 day work week, and monthly RDOs, along with rotational Saturdays to keep things dynamic and varied. It’s a great chance to take on a rewarding role with excellent perks while staying engaged in a fast-paced environment!
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include:
Maintaining a high level of customer experience
Ability to establish, maintain and grow relationships
Upholding customer centric culture within the dealership
Maintaining a high level of product knowledge and performing thorough demonstrations to our customers
Follow all department sales processes & achievement of required sales
Follow up of sales customers daily via phone and email
Managing inbound and outbound customer enquiry
New business prospecting activities
Maintaining ‘Toyota For Life’ dealership standards

Excellent interpersonal skills & friendly disposition
Manual drivers licence
Motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and within a team environment
Professional presentation and outlook
Highly developed time management, problem-solving & organisational skills
High-level verbal & written communication skills
Ability to build & maintain effective guest relationships
Strong computer literacy
