Cape York Peninsula Lodge is seeking a seasonal Chef De Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at our Gold award-winning Lodge – SEASONAL 6-MONTH POSITION – IMMEDIATE START!
What you will be doing:
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard
Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and recipe development
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
Overseeing and mentoring junior kitchen staff
Ensuring strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Contributing to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations and processes
What we're looking for:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a similar hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
Maintain high hygiene standards, quality and understanding of food safety practices and plans.
Professional work ethic and good communication skills.
Experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
Availability across the week, including evenings and weekends
