About the role

Vacationer Caravans is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Draftsperson-Designer to join our team in our Campbellfield, Victoria location. This full-time position will play a key role in delivering high-quality caravan and RV designs to support our growing business.

What you'll be doing

Utilise AutoCAD and other drafting software to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings and designs for new caravans and RV models production plans

Work closely with the engineering team to translate concepts and requirements into production-ready designs

Ensure designs adhere to all relevant safety, regulatory and quality standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design-related issues and optimize designs

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation

Provide support and mentorship to junior drafting staff as required

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (8+ years) in AutoCAD drafting and 3D modelling, with a strong background in the engineering/manufacturing industry

Demonstrated expertise in caravan or RV design, or a similar vehicle design field

Excellent technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering requirements

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams

A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field is highly desirable
