About the role
Combined Franchise Services' is seeking a talented and dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our team in our Sydney CBD office. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our AP, Payroll and accounting operations. This is a full-time position offering a rewarding career opportunity in a dynamic and growing organisation.
What you'll be doing
Perform complete payroll processing for all entities including payroll, superranuation,EOFY Payroll closing, termination, redundancy
Maintaining the accuracy of payroll records and database
Full Accounts payable function, processing suppliers’ invoices and liaising with suppliers and other third parties
Assist with closing month-end and preparation of management reports
Assist in yearly fringe benefit tax calculation
Assist in yearly audit , year- end tax return for all entities
Perform credit card reconciliation
Assist in IAS/BAS (PAYG) reporting
Perform annual events reconciliations – e.g. convention and awards
Responsible for Intercompany recharges
Responsible Petty cash reimbursement & expense claims
Assist with yearly budgeting and forecasting
Other ad-hoc tasks required by management
Assist with other team members duties when they are on leave
What we're looking for
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role
Demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and payroll knowledge.
Proficient in using accounting software (Xero experience is highly desirable), Preceda, Google Suite and MS Office suite
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail
Active curiosity in understanding data and what is driving it
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
