We are excited to welcome a new Senior Casual Baristas to help us elevate our customer experience at our Stockland Greenhills location.

Position Overview

As a Casual Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and assisting in the overall operations of our store. This role also includes setting an example for junior staff, maintaining cleanliness and order, and supporting the team in various tasks related to stock management, baking, decorating, and content production.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.

Ensure customer orders are accurately taken, prepared, and delivered in a timely manner.

Address customer inquiries, provide product recommendations, and resolve any issues with a positive attitude.

Barista Duties:

Operate coffee machines and other equipment with precision and care.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all equipment is regularly cleaned and maintained.

Ensure all beverages are made to a high standard, following company recipes and guidelines.

Supporting Junior Staff:

Set an example for junior staff by demonstrating excellent customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.

Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and can perform their tasks effectively.

Stocking and Inventory:

Assist in managing stock levels, including restocking shelves, monitoring inventory, and placing orders as needed.

Ensure all products are displayed attractively and rotated to maintain freshness.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Perform regular cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Ensure all areas of the store, including the customer seating area, are clean and presentable at all times.

Content Production:

Assist in creating engaging content for our social media channels, including photos and videos of our products and customer interactions.

Baking and Decorating:

Support the baking and decorating team as needed, particularly during busy periods or when extra help is required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.

Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

A passion for coffee, desserts, and creating a positive customer experience.

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Ability to mentor and guide junior staff members.
