Dental Assistant / Receptionist – Casual Position at HD Dental Studio
Location: Mount Gravatt
Employment Type: Casual (2–3 days per week)
Hours: Between 8am–6pm, with availability for late finishes on Wednesdays (until approx. 7pm)

HD Dental Studio is an Accredited Dental Practice located in Mount Gravatt. With over 40 years of service to the local community, we offer a full range of modern dental services, including Preventative, Restorative, Orthodontics, Invisalign, Implants, and Cosmetic Dentistry.

About the Role
We’re currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join us on a casual basis. This all-rounder role includes both chairside assisting and reception support, so flexibility and a team-focused attitude are key.

You’ll be stepping into a well-established and supportive environment, where your contribution directly supports patient care and the smooth running of the practice. While the focus is on clinical assisting, you will be expected to help with administrative duties as needed.

There may be future opportunities for growth and increased hours as the practice continues to expand.

Dental Assisting and Reception Experience

Outline your experience in both clinical and front desk settings. If you don’t have direct dental experience, describe how your past roles have prepared you for this position.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Give examples of how you’ve worked with patients or customers, and how you contribute to a positive team environment.

Infection Control Knowledge

Demonstrate your understanding of sterilisation protocols and maintaining a safe clinical space. If you don’t have healthcare experience, explain how you ensure high standards in other professional settings.

Teamwork and Flexibility

Share examples of how you adapt to changing priorities, take initiative, and support others in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to Learn and Grow

Tell us why you’re excited to join the dental field (if new), or what motivates you to continue growing professionally in this area.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in dental assisting (required) *

Reception or administrative experience (preferred) *

A positive attitude and commitment to learning

Strong communication and organisational skills

Team player with a hands-on approach

Availability 2–3 weekdays, preferably Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Must be able to work Wednesday with 7pm-7:30pm finishes
