Position: Experienced Dental Assistant - long term consistant hours (36-38hrs per week)

Location: Choice Dental – Established for over 25 years, we are a fully accredited, patient-focused practice offering a broad range of services, including Preventative, Restorative, Orthodontics, Implant, and Cosmetic Dentistry. Located in a vibrant community, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to local families.

About the Role:

Position Type: consistent hours with opportunity for additional permanent hours for the right candidate.

Hours: approx 36-38 hours per week.

Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and rotating Saturday shifts (other day to be decided)

Flexibility: There’s potential for additional shifts and longer hours, allowing you to increase your schedule based on availability and performance

Key Responsibilities:

Provide chairside assistance to our Dentists & Oral Health Therapists

Maintain a sterile environment by performing sterilisation duties in line with current infection control protocols

Assist with the preparation of dental surgeries and patient charting

Offer administrative support including HICAPS payments, answering calls, and responding to patient inquiries

Deliver outstanding customer service, helping patients feel comfortable and cared for

What We’re Looking For:

Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of Dental Assistant experience

In-depth knowledge of sterilisation and infection control procedures

Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and time management skills

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Experience with dental software and HICAPS is a plus

Compassionate with a focus on patient care
