We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our team at the Margaret River Chocolate Company, Metricup, as Property Manager. Located in the heart of the southwest, our venue is a bustling and vibrant place to work. This is a full-time, hands-on role; you will be expected to have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a can-do attitude. Previous experience in property maintenance is essential, as well as strong leadership skills. Horticulture experience would be highly regarded.

The Property Manager has overall responsibility for all aspects of our gardens and outdoor spaces, maintaining existing lawns, trees, flower beds and vegetable gardens, designing new landscaping projects and ensuring our grounds remain a stunning backdrop for our visitors. In addition, the role includes the co-ordination and supervision of trades, working closely with the management team to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain existing lawns, trees, flower beds and vegetable gardens, including weeding, pruning, mulching, planting, spraying, hedging, edging, blowing, reticulation, and mowing

· Conduct and coordinate both indoor and outdoor maintenance requirements, including repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance

· Lead and inspire the maintenance team, providing guidance, training and support

· Assign tasks and schedule work to maximize productivity and ensure timely completion of projects

· Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks

· Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses

Essential skills/qualifications:

· Previous experience in a similar role

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Effective problem-solving skills

· Competent operation of a tractor, forklift, ride-on lawn mower and other motorized machinery

· Time management skills

· Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations

· White Card

Desirable skills/qualifications:

· Relevant trade skills

· Horticulture experience

· Forklift License
