Our client is looking for a highly skilled and organized Release Manager to oversee and manage the planning, scheduling, and deployment of software releases across our technology platforms. This is a key role requiring strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills to ensure that releases are delivered efficiently and with minimal disruption to services.

Essential Criteria

• Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills: A release manager needs to effectively communicate release plans, updates, and potential issues to various stakeholders. This includes having a collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills with excellent Stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical Skills: They must be able to analyse release data, identify potential problems, and make data-driven decisions to improve the release process.
• Organisational Skills: Managing multiple releases, coordinating teams, and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time requires strong organisational skills.
• Release Management Experience: Experience in planning, executing, and managing software releases.
• Experience with Release Management Tools: Proficiency in using tools for release planning, tracking, and deployment is essential.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: The ability to work effectively with developers, testers, operations, and other teams to ensure a smooth and successful release is vital.

Desirable criteria

• Project Management Experience: Experience in managing projects, preferably software development projects.
• Understanding of a SDLC: A thorough understanding of a SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment, is crucial for managing releases effectively.
