About the Role

As a Program Scheduling Officer, this role is to efficiently process incoming referrals for Health & Wellbeing services, with extensive knowledge in classifying services and funding eligibility to meet the needs of the customer and the business. To work collaboratively with the Health & Wellbeing team members to effectively triage, prioritise and schedule allied health and well-being services for customers.

In this role you will support the function of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) which aligns with the strategic goals of the Health and Wellbeing team within Community Care and Inclusion and Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ). Whilst this role will be based at one of our central hubs, as an employee of WMQ, you will be required to work across multiple sites and multiple customer groups.

Key Role Accountabilities:

Align one’s workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Queensland’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Work within the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards

Determine customer eligibility for funded health & well-being services and provide the customer appropriate assistance and/or advice to access these services.

Liaise with Health and Wellbeing team members and managers for customers requiring multifaceted multidisciplinary health services.

Maintain a referral prioritisation list based on customer clinical need.

Efficient appointment scheduling and resource allocation for clinical staff.

Development and maintenance of accurate electronic records.

Conduct intake processing with customer

Administration duties including fee contribution management and assisting with reception duties when required.

Provide support in the identification of referring agencies to assist in maintaining clear referral pathways.

Prepare and bill customers in an efficient manner.

About You

Demonstrated skills and knowledge of MDT/ H&W health services, including funded and fee for service options available to customers.

Highly effective customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including a courteous phone manner, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Highly effective organisational and time management skills

Demonstrated ability to coordinate services with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge of health & well-being funding streams and ability to invoice/receive payment to relevant organisations, customers and stakeholders as appropriate.

Demonstrated high level computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and customer databases including practice management systems.

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing quality assurance and continuous quality improvement.

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance held before commencing & NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You completed before starting.

Desirable:

Business related qualification and relevant experience, or significant relevant work experience.
