Position Overview

We're hiring a Tech Delivery Lead with a strong background in DevOps, particularly from an application development perspective. This role focuses on leading efforts to modernise and migrate complex legacy systems to AWS or GCP. The right candidate will bring practical experience in cloud-native development and deployment using tools like Java (Spring Boot), Python, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical tasks for migrating applications from on-premise infrastructure to AWS or GCP.
• Work closely with architects to design secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Develop and deploy containerised applications, using Kubernetes for orchestration and management.
• Write and manage deployment configurations (YAML) and implement rollout strategies like blue-green or canary deployments.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build and deployment processes.
• Use Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation) to manage cloud environments.
• Oversee database migrations, ensuring accuracy, performance, and stability.
• Implement logging and monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Resolve technical issues related to cloud deployments, application errors, and network configuration.
• Apply cloud security standards across deployments, including access control, encryption, and network protection.

Required Skills

• Strong experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads.
• Deep understanding of cloud migration processes and cloud architecture.
• Proven expertise in AWS and/or GCP environments.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Skilled at diagnosing and resolving issues across application and cloud layers.
• Experience building CI/CD workflows.
• Familiar with monitoring tools and security best practices in cloud settings.

• Experience with large-scale re-platforming projects.
• Background in cloud security and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database migration.
