About the role

As the Duty Manager at Maleny Hotel, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of this vibrant hospitality establishment. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the hotel, from managing staff and guest interactions to maintaining high standards of service and profitability. Your role will be instrumental in driving the success of the hotel within the local Maleny, Queensland community.

What you'll be doing

Supervising and coordinating the work of front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage teams to ensure seamless customer service

Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner

Monitoring and reporting on hotel occupancy, revenue, and expenses to inform strategic decision-making

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

Providing hands-on support and training to hotel staff to maintain high standards

Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives

Contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the Maleny Hotel

What we're looking for

Experience in a similar Duty Manager or Assistant Manager role within the hospitality industry

Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

Familiarity with hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage management

Proficiency in using hospitality management software and systems
