About the role
We have a current vacancy for an experienced full-time Automotive Technician to join our team. This position provides the successful applicant with an opportunity for career progression to a 2IC role within of our busy workshop. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Performing comprehensive diagnostics, servicing and repairs on a variety of makes and models of vehicles
- Collaborating with the workshop manager to coordinate workflows and allocate tasks effectively
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians, sharing your expertise to enhance their skills
- Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used
- Ensure the workshop operates in compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures
About You
Along with a strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role you'll have/be:
- Formal qualifications in automotive technology or a relevant trade, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Full Australian working rights or permanent residency without restrictions (essential)
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a broad skill set covering a range of vehicle makes and models
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the workshop team
- A positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools, equipment and diagnostic software
