About the role

OHM Electronics is seeking a talented Marine Mechanic or Marine Technician to join our team in Broome, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a range of marine equipment and vessels. As a key member of our Automotive Trades team, you will utilise your expertise to ensure our clients' boats and marine assets are operating at peak performance.

What you'll be doing:

Diagnosing, servicing and repairing a variety of marine engines, systems and equipment

Conducting routine inspections and maintenance on marine vessels and equipment

Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues

Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on the optimal care and upkeep of their marine assets

Collaborating with the wider team to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations

What we're looking for:

Formal qualification in Marine Mechanics or a related Automotive Trades discipline

Substantial experience as a Marine Mechanic or Technician, with a demonstrated track record of excellence

In-depth knowledge of marine engine systems, electrical components, and boat maintenance best practices

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills

Commitment to working safely and in compliance with relevant regulations
