About the area

Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni, philanthropic and community strategies. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibility of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor and community relations to advance the University’s goals.

About the opportunity

• Manage relationships with University donors to ensure satisfaction and meaningful engagement.
• Lead the planning, implementation and assessment of donor outreach and recognition programs and initiatives.
• Reinforce UWA’s position as the destination of choice for philanthropic giving in support of research and education.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency related to fundraising in an academic setting.
• Highly developed consultation, collaboration and problem solving skills with the ability to advise and support senior staff.
• Demonstrated ability to build lasting business relationships, provide excellent client service and work effectively with volunteers.
• Excellent research and analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting proposals, assessments and reports.
