Role Details
We are currently seeking a Principal Quality and Safeguarding Officer to join our team on a full-time term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading the implementation of quality assurance, quality governance and client risk mechanisms for DCP.
Providing expert clinical, evidence-based strategic advice related to quality and safeguarding.
Contributing to the analysis and development of departmental practice, policies and procedures.
Preparation of detailed reports, memos, letters and briefings at an Executive and Ministerial level.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in leading continuous improvement of practice, including leadership of complex change.
Knowledge of safeguarding, quality governance and quality improvement methodology.
Experience in providing concise and comprehensive written and verbal briefings and advice on complex issues.
Expertise in managing quality improvement programs, projects and policy development.

Special Conditions:
Essential Qualifications: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
