Job location
Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services. Our Directorates includes Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations and our Community Directorate with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychologists and Social Work. We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator co-hort that continually upskill our already skilled and supportive team.
About the Role:
The role of LinkSafe Governance and Administration Lead manages Forensicare’s External Service Provider and Visitor Management Software (‘LinkSafe’). This critical role provides administrative, operational and system support specific to the onboarding and inducting of External Service Providers, Students and Professional Visitors in accordance with Forensicare policies and procedures, while ensuring relevant standards, regulations and legislation are met, and risk is managed.
Duties:
- First point of contact for all LinkSafe enquiries including ownership of Business Support (Compliance Team) inbox.
- Management of Forensicare user accounts and system functionality.
- Management of system configuration and enhancements, ensuring System Change Log is current and changes captured in a meaningful way.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure system cleanliness and data integrity.
- Proactive management of LinkSafe Profiles.
- All LinkSafe induction content, including amending current inductions, creation of new, and consulting with key stakeholders as required.
- Provide advice and support to the Business Support Services team with regard to External Service Providers, Students and Professional Visitors registrations, ensuring they are actioned only where compliance is indicated within LinkSafe and in accordance with Forensicare policies and procedures.
About You:
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) who can build rapport with those across a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Motivated self-starter with a positive and collaborative approach.
- Ability to work under limited direction, capable of setting own work priorities with and strong time management skills.
- Highly organised problem-solver with ability to multi-task, take initiative with meticulous attention to detail.
What you need:
- Working knowledge of onboarding and induction processes in a shared service, or similar, environment desirable.
- Experience using LinkSafe, or similar software, advantageous.

Our story
Forensicare (Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health) is the state-wide specialist provider of forensic mental health services in Victoria. Forensicare is the only agency in Victoria that provides clinical forensic mental health services which span all components of the mental health and criminal justice sectors – giving Forensicare a unique perspective on mental health and public safety issues. It is able to provide specialist forensic mental health services tailored to meet the specific needs of both sectors.
We provide forensic mental health services for people:
with a serious mental illness in the criminal justice system
at risk of offending who pose a risk to themselves or others
referred from the general mental health system for specialist advice, support and/or treatment.
Forensicare’s primary focus is the provision of clinical services within a recovery framework. These services include the effective assessment, treatment and management of forensic patients, prisoners and clients.
