About us:

All Star Access Hire and Scaffold is a leading equipment hire company specialising in the hire of elevated work platforms, forklifts, telehandlers, light towers and scaffold.

We service a wide variety of industries ranging from construction, events, maintenance, infrastructure, many more on a daily basis.

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the National Service Manager, we are currently looking for a qualified mechanic or experienced workshop supervisor with strong technical knowledge to operate our workshop flow and staff on a day-to-day basis. Part of this role will also be looking after Technical Breakdown responses for our diverse customer base.

What you will do:

Your key deliverables in this role with include but not limited to:

Operating our workshop and workflow on a daily basis

Managing workshop staff and creating efficiencies

Working closely with our Operations Department and monitoring machines movements

Dealing with customers over the phone to provide technical support in the event of a breakdown

Ascertaining if the fault is operator error, machine fault or potentially customer damage.

Follow up with customers and other hire companies to ensure customer satisfaction.

Parts ordering and managing WIP (work in progress) to ensure timely resolutions.

General administration.

Raising work orders, purchase orders and goods receipting.

Invoicing and reporting asset damages with the Field Service Coordinator.

Daily and weekly reporting requirements.

Generating quotes for repairs/services for customers equipment

What you are and what you have:

Strong technical knowledge of Plant and Equipment.

Hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.

Exceptional organisational and customer service skills.

Ability to be agile and adapt to a changing work flow.

Strong administration skills and demonstrated experience in customer service.

Strong computer skills

Experience managing people and teams

A good work ethic and be self-motivated

The ability to work well under pressure and multi-task

Prior experience in a similar role in equipment hire is an advantage
