Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Glebe Hill Dental. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring our patients receive top-notch care. Your commitment to excellence and your ability to work collaboratively will make you a valuable addition to our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments.

Provide chair-side assistance, passing instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures.

Ensure patient comfort and safety by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.

Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed.

Perform infection control procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Schedule patient appointments and handle administrative tasks as required.

Help educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Assist with taking and developing dental X-rays.

Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous dental assisting experience is a must.

Ideally possess a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, although it is not a necessity.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
