About the role

Ausdirect Hire is seeking a full-time Yard Hand to join our team in Hemmant, QLD 4174. As a Yard Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of our equipment hire business. This hands-on position involves a variety of tasks to maintain our equipment and yard, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service.

What you'll be doing

Receiving, checking, and storing incoming equipment and materials

Performing basic maintenance and cleaning on a range of equipment

Assisting with loading and unloading of equipment for customer deliveries

Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the yard and storage areas

Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

Supporting the wider team with various ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a similar labourer or yard hand role

A strong focus on safety and attention to detail

Good communication and customer service skills

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment

A current driver's licence and the ability to operate small equipment and machinery (forklift licence preferred but not essential)
