About Our Client:
Our client, a highly respected educational institution, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their Finance team. This part-time role offering school-friendly hours (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) across five days per week, with a salary range of $58,000 – $74,000 + super (pro-rata) and 7 weeks of annual leave.

The Opportunity:
This role supports both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, with a strong emphasis on debt collection and accounts receivable activities. Experience within the education sector is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage debtor accounts, fee escalations, and financial reconciliations.
• Process transactions (BPay, Centrepay, direct debit uploads) into Synergetic.
• Assist with tuition, transport, and VET course billings.
• Handle parent/guardian fee queries professionally.
• Process creditor invoices and assist with payment runs and month-end tasks.
• Maintain compliance with financial privacy and child safety standards.
• Contribute to front-office banking, fundraising, and enrolment fee receipting.

What You Bring:

• Extensive experience in Accounts Receivable and debt collection.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Synergetic is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and manage sensitive financial conversations.

Essential Requirements:

• Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• Previous experience in similar finance officer role.
