You will be assigned specific procurement projects and will be responsible for leading and implementing the associated procurement and sourcing approaches that support the delivery of best practice procurement outcomes. The Senior Procurement Officer is also responsible for putting in place transparent benefits realisation reporting and for ensuring that robust contractual arrangements are executed that lock in the procured value.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and implementation of sourcing plans for specific procurement projects.
  • Identify and socialise procurement opportunities with suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure adequate analysis and planning for effective supplier negotiations.
  • Deliver strategic commercial agreements that optimise value for money.
  • Implement contracts with performance incentives and manage supplier performance.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Leads the development and implementation of procurement projects and sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable increases in value for money.
  • Implements contract and supplier management strategies, including strong negotiation skills and managing tender evaluation processes.
  • Handles complex customer issues and supporting internal customers in developing specifications.
  • Ensures materials/services are delivered according to contract and resolving supplier performance issues.
  • Cooperates and collaborating with colleagues, holding self and others accountable for delivering outcomes on time and on budget.
  • Provides quality customer service and driving ongoing professional and personal development.
  • Solves difficult problems using data and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Will adopt established practices to improve processes and understanding business sector opportunities to execute procurement strategies.
