About the role

Our practice is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Belconnen, ACT. As a full-time Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of our dental practice, providing essential support to our dentists and ensuring patients receive a seamless and exceptional experience.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and preparing treatment rooms
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Greeting patients, guiding them through check-in and check-out processes, and addressing their questions and concerns
• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment plans
• Ordering and restocking dental supplies to ensure the practice is well-equipped
• Completing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and processing payments

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar patient-facing healthcare role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients, dentists, and the wider team
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain a well-organised and efficient practice
• Proficiency in using dental software and technology
• A caring and compassionate attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
