Your new role

As part of the Brand & Reputation team you will have a key role in strengthening Ausgrid’s reputation by uplifting our digital presence and brand. As the Digital Content Officer, reporting to the Digital Channels Manager you will be responsible for delivering engaging digital content experience and services, with a focus on maintaining and improving our corporate websites.

Working closely with content owners and stakeholders, you will support the delivery of new digital content initiatives to uplift Ausgrid’s digital platforms, services and brand.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Supporting the deliver of a new corporate website - including migration and rebuild of a number of websites

Collaborating with the wider team - you’ll help deliver high-quality digital content, including text, images and video and printable content for a wider variety of projects and customer communications, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and business objectives and accessibility standards, and ensuring Ausgrid’s strategic messages are clear and delivered with impact

Partnering with content stakeholders across the business to understand content and service requirements and advise on customer experience and user experience to best meet the needs of both the business and customers.

Collaborate with Brand, Customer Technology teams to create outstanding website experiences, and identify customer service and strategic opportunities

Provide first line support for website content issues, collaborating with the Customer applications team where necessary to test resolve helpdesk tickets.

Conduct regular content audits to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency across the website.

Monitor website analytics and SEO opportunities to identify opportunities for content improvement and improve search engine rankings.

Manage workload to deliver against priorities of multiple teams and balancing short turn around strategic initiatives with on-going business as usual content needs.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital content production.

Occasional overtime and after hours / weekends support for joint projects or incident response.

To be successful you will be passionate about creating exceptional digital experience and have proven experience in a similar role. You will be confident working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, have a strong eye for detail, exceptional writing & creative skills and be proactive in driving content improvements.

To be successful, you will also have:

Bachelor's degree in Digital Communications, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or up to 3 years’ experience in an enterprise digital role.

Proven experience in digital content production and website content management.

Strong writing, editing, layouts and digital proofreading skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with enterprise systems and content management systems (CMS) such as Sitecore, Adobe, WordPress, Drupal, Canva and other similar platforms.

Knowledge of UX and SEO best practices.

Experience in content migration projects will be highly valued.

Experience using and reporting Google Analytics to identify issues and trends.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to receive feedback, work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot to prioritise deadlines.

Good understanding of graphic design principles and experience with brand and print layout with experience in Photoshop and Illustrator or similar enterprise graphic design software.
