About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team. This hands-on role involves a variety of construction and installation tasks, working on both new projects and renovations. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction principles, and a passion for craftsmanship, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to identify necessary materials, measurements, and installation methods.
Select, order, and prepare timber and other materials based on project requirements.
Cut, shape, and assemble wood and other building materials using hand and power tools.
Construct and install structural frameworks including sub-floors, walls, and roof trusses, ensuring all work is accurate and level.
Install exterior components such as fascia panels, roof sheathing, siding, as well as doors and window frames.
Build and pre-assemble wooden structures and fittings for on-site installation.
Create and join wood components using traditional and modern joinery techniques.
May construct formwork for concrete pours.
May perform repair work on existing wooden structures and fittings.
May also work with alternative materials such as plastic laminates, acrylics (Perspex), and metals when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial settings.
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in the use of carpentry tools and materials.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights or in varying conditions.
Trade certification or relevant apprenticeship preferred but not required.
