Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex and violent offences on post sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.
About the role:
Geelong CCS is recruiting for an ongoing Advanced Practitioner. This exciting role involves leading, supervising, and coaching Case Managers and Case Officers to ensure best practices are upheld while fostering professional growth among staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to Case Managers and Case Officers.
- Coaching: Foster professional development and growth among staff.
- Advanced Case Management: Utilize strong interviewing skills, goal-setting abilities, and a deep understanding of correctional best practices to engage offenders effectively.
This approach helps create structured pathways for rehabilitation and reintegration, ensuring alignment with best practice case management services.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks including managing clients with complex presentations and conducting risk and needs assessments in a human services context.
- Ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
- Demonstrated understanding and capability in leading, managing and developing staff responsible for operational service delivery
- Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion
