Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and those on parole.
About the role:
Geelong CCS is recruiting a fixed-term Senior Parole Officer responsible for delivering quality case management services to a complex caseload of high-priority sex and violent offenders on parole.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Deliver advanced quality case management services to high-priority sex and violent offenders on parole.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with parole conditions.
- Report Preparation: Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, including the Adult Parole Board.
The role of a Senior Parole Officer involves managing high-risk offenders, ensuring compliance with parole conditions, and preparing reports for stakeholders like the Adult Parole Board.
About you:
- Knowledge of best practice case management frameworks and theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes
- Displays confidence and conviction when communicating an opinion and listens when ideas are challenged
- Accept changed priorities without undue discomfort
- Holds self and team accountable towards being inclusive to individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines
- Sees things from another's point of view to confirm understanding, motivations, needs and wants of stakeholders
