About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CBRE team as a Data Centre - Critical Facilities Technical Supervisor in our Docklands, VIC 3008 office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical facilities within a data centre environment.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate a team of technicians responsible for the maintenance and operations of critical data centre infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems

Ensure all systems are functioning effectively and efficiently to maintain optimal data centre performance

Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs to identify and address potential issues before they arise

Monitor and analyse system performance data to identify opportunities for improvement

Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure their needs are met

Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices

Provide technical guidance and support to the team, and assist with complex troubleshooting and problem-solving

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar role within a data centre or critical facilities environment

Strong technical expertise in the maintenance and operation of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders

Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC engineering are highly desirable

Certification in data centre operations or facilities management is an advantage
