Position: Senior Civil Designer

Role Overview

Our client, a leading global EPCM, is looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join a team of 12D civil designers and engineers to play a key role in delivering medium to large projects within multidiscipline environment adhering to applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.

As a key member of the team, you will:

Produce 2D drawings in MicroStation based on 12D models or similar design inputs.

Attend project meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow established review and checking procedures.

Clarify project scope and flag scope changes to the lead structural engineer in line with change management protocols.

Collect and analyze data from various sources to support engineering studies, calculations, and technical documentation.

Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively.

Facilitate clear communication between the civil engineering team, stakeholders, and clients.

What you’ll have:

Holds a 2–3-year technical diploma with discipline-specific training, or equivalent education and experience.

Extensive civil design experience in the mining, energy, and/or infrastructure sectors. Experience in the resource sector or linear infrastructure projects is preferred.

Experienced in 3D modelling workflows and civil design software, particularly 12D.

Familiarity with additional design tools like Civil 3D and Inroads is advantageous.

Background in road design and large earthworks projects is essential.

Proven leadership in managing civil design teams.

Successfully delivered medium to large, multidisciplinary projects.

Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team environments.

Highly motivated with a strong focus on project delivery and client service.
