We’re embarking on an exciting new chapter at our Club in the Bankstown Area, bringing our catering in-house for the first time in years. We’re now on the hunt for a passionate and driven Head Chef ready to take full ownership of our kitchen and build a standout bistro offering from the ground up.

This isn’t your average Head Chef role — it’s an opportunity to make your mark, lead a transformation, and develop a food experience that keeps locals coming back for more.

About the Role

As our new Head Chef, you’ll be at the forefront of reshaping our kitchen. You'll lead the charge in developing a fresh new menu in consultation with the Club and Senior Management, assembling a capable team, and delivering consistent, high-quality dishes in a welcoming club environment.

We’re after someone who loves a challenge, thrives on autonomy, and sees the opportunity in creating something new — not just running a kitchen, but crafting a food destination for the community.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of the kitchen operation.

In consultation, design and execute seasonal menus and weekly specials with creativity and consistency.

Source and work with quality produce, with an eye for cost-efficiency and innovation.

Recruit, train, and mentor a small kitchen team.

Manage stock, ordering, food cost, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Work closely with Club Management and Consultants to align food offerings with the broader club vision.

Uphold high standards in food quality, presentation, and kitchen culture.

About You

Trade qualified with a Certification in Commercial Cookery (minimum).

Post-qualification experience, with proven leadership in high-quality bistros, pubs, or restaurants.

Strong background in menu design, kitchen operations, and team leadership.

Able to create memorable dishes that speak for themselves — food that tells a story and brings people back.

Confident, calm under pressure, and naturally motivated to succeed.

Excellent communication skills with a team-first mindset.

Reliable, flexible, and available to work across nights, weekends, and public holidays.
